Dear Prayer Igniter

REMEMBER YOUR FIRST LOVE?

Christopher and Ashley

Christopher and Ashley Millar ~ Married!

God gave me the indescribable joy and honor to not only be a first hand witness to the birth of this beautiful marriage but also to lead my son Christopher and his precious bride Ashley in the exchange of their marriage vows.

This picture so gloriously depicts the release of such total joy as I presented Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Millar to the congregation of family and friends attending from 3 nations and 5 states.

Marriage can be seen as a bridal paradigm reflecting the relationship we all enter when we are saved or born again by the Spirit of God given through the life of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Most of you have experienced the birth of salvation and many of you the becoming of one flesh in marriage. If you are not currently married please read and pray into this message anyway as God surely wants to use you to encourage someone else’s marriage or prepare you for yours. It is in these two births of new life, that of marriage and salvation that I say today:

REMEMBER YOUR FIRST LOVE!
I believe that as we do this walk in remembrance of our first loves and express our thankfulness to God that He will bring refreshment and a renewal to both our love for Him and for our spouse if you are married.

In the February IGNITE we will remember our first love for Jesus in salvation.

Will you walk with me as I remember my first love with my precious bride Nancy, while encouraging you to take some time and prayer journal your first love?

“ Lord, I want to praise and thank You for that magnificent day nearly 28 years ago on 30th August 1985 when You literally moved heaven and earth to bring mine and Nancy’s paths together at DFW Airport.”

Love Ignited In God’s Promise at DFW Airport

“Thank You Lord, that Nancy’s plane developed engine problems having to return to DFW, thank You that there was a hurricane off the coast of Florida and Nancy’s Dad said: “Don’t come today, call your friend Lora and spend the night in Dallas with her.” Thank You Lord, that even though Lora said wait in Terminal C, Nancy waited at Terminal B where I just happened to walk out to see this charming and beautiful young woman sitting on the bench where I needed to sit down!

Thank You Lord, that I was in the Zakanaka Bear business and had “Zak” the original Zakanaka Bear in the crook of my arm. We had just flown in from Atlanta to attend the gift show at The Dallas World Trade Center. It was so awesome Lord, that although my Sweetie is a very quiet and unassuming person she just happened to love bears and said to me: “What a gorgeous bear! Where did you get him?”
