Dear Prayer Igniter

PRAYER CAUSES GOD’S KINGDOM TO COME

TAKING TIME TO BE STILL WITH GOD

Prayer Image

Wherever you are reading IGNITE right now I encourage you to step into the stillness of this picture and let us “PRAY NOW”
“Oh Lord, You know how busy are my days! Please guide me to seize moments in every day events of my life to be a KINGDOM BRINGER for Your glory. Give me Your eyes Lord, open my heart to how You want to use me, in Jesus name I pray, amen.”

STILLNESS IS A GIFT~ By Elisabeth Elliot

Stillness. Perfect Stillness. It is a very great gift, not always available to those who would most appreciate it and would find joy in it, and often not appreciated by those who have it but are uncomfortable with it. External noise is inescapable in many places----traffic on land and in the air, sirens, horns, chain saws and loud voices. Despite this I think it is possible to learn stillness----but only if it is seriously sought. God tells us, “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10) “In quietness-

The stillness in which we find God is not superficial, a mere absence of fidgeting or talking. It is a deliberate and quiet attentiveness---receptive, alert, and ready.

-and confidence shall be your strength” (Isaiah 30:15). I think of what Jim Elliot wrote in his journal: “Wherever you are, be all there. Live to the hilt every situation you believe to be the will of God.”

Colin Millar - Pray Now!

It is when we engage with this intentionality to be still in the midst of the noise of life that God will drop things into your heart that can bring His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. As you read these little snapshots from my life this month, I encourage you to be expectant of our God setting you up for your very own unique Divine Appointments!

EVER HAD A HAIRCUT?

Ever prayed a blessing out loud over the complete hair salon? NO, neither had I! My Sweetie Nancy, and I were visiting her Mum (89) and Dad (90) in Fort Myers Florida this month.

Dad needed a haircut and so I went with him to his “Barber Shop”. As we walked toward the Barber Shop I see a sign in the window that says: “COME AND BE BLESSED!” together with the Christian fish logo!

Now this is where I stepped into the mode of deliberate and quiet attentiveness, alert and ready to act upon what the Holy Sprit nudges me to say or do.

HAVING YOUR GOD ANTENAS UP, CAN, AND WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING

I talked to Paul, Dad’s barber, while he was cutting Dad’s hair. They are a team of Christian men that love God and I said how I was being blessed already, just by being in there!

This is when I heard the whisper of the Lord saying: “These men need to be encouraged, pray over them!” I’m saying, “Lord, you mean You want me to just start praying over this barber shop out loud?”
